This October, take part in the transformative journey of biodiversity and climate change at the Sixteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The RESPIN project is proud to announce its participation in three events, promising to bring insights and foster meaningful discussion amongst scientists and policy-makers.

Unlock the Potential of Science-Policy Interfaces

Our first event begins on 22 October 2024, organised by UFZ, the Humboldt Institute, and the University of Lubumbashi (UNILU). Titled โ€˜Foster Science-Policy Interfaces around biodiversity and climate changeโ€™, this gathering brings an opportunity to delve into the synergies between the IPBES and IPCC assessments and processes and their potential to add to CBD processes and to inform the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). Join us to gain insights into the future of biodiversity and climate action and contribute to this important discussion.

Driving Transformative Change through Science-Policy Projects Collaboration

The momentum continues at the EU Pavilion in the Blue Zone with two additional Science-Policy Interface (SPI) related side events, designed to illuminate the path towards integrating scientific research within policy frameworks. These sessions will focus on supporting the implementation and monitoring of four different thematic themes linked to the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF), a cornerstone for global biodiversity efforts.
