The RESPIN project's logo was meticulously designed to symbolise the project's connection to both the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). The logo integrates elements that reflect the project's commitment to addressing climate change and biodiversity loss. The color scheme, with green representing nature and orange symbolizing urgency, serves as a visual metaphor for the project's focus. Additionally, the orange coloring of "SPI," which stands for Science-Policy Interface, underscores its significance within the project's objectives.
An intriguing aspect of the logo is the incorporation of design elements inspired by both IPCC and IPBES. The circular motif preceding "RESPIN" draws inspiration from the circles commonly associated with IPBES, representing the interconnectedness of ecosystems and human societies. Furthermore, the font used for "RESPIN" mirrors that of IPCC, subtly nodding to the project's alignment with IPCC's scientific assessments and recommendations. Through these design choices, the logo not only visually represents RESPIN's mission but also establishes a clear visual connection to the esteemed scientific bodies it collaborates with.
